GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Supervisor/Physician, the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will be responsible for delivering safe, quality respiratory care to patients of all age groups. This includes the treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation and care of patients of all age groups with deficiencies and abnormalities associated with the cardiopulmonary system.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Graduate of an approved Associate's Degree program in Respiratory Therapy.
* Successful completion of the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) written and clinical exams.

Required Length and Type of Experience
* One year of experience preferred.
* Prior experience with pulmonary functions is required.

Required Registry, Certification, or Licensure
* Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensed by the Ohio Board for Respiratory Care (must have completed all appropriate certification/licensing to meet the State of Ohio 's requirements).
* Must have current CPR licensure.

Required Physical and Environmental Demands
* Typical physical demands include the ability to walk and stand for long periods of time; must have the ability to perform duties while walking, standing, stooping and lifting. Requires the ability to lift materials weighing 50 lbs or more and push (wheel) equipment weighing up to 80 lbs. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting of patients, manual and finger dexterity to manipulate equipment and hand-eye coordination.
