Physical Therapist
Location: South East Sport Med and Rehab

BASIC FUNCTION: Assesses patients, develops and initiates treatment plan based on the results of the evaluation. The evaluation may include measurements of neuromuscular and skeletal functions. Provides direct patient care. Documents findings, progress and instruction to patients and caregivers. May assist Level III physical therapists with program development. Serves as resource to staff PTs. Provides training and guidance to students and interns. Supervises assistants and rehabilitation technicians with regards to individual patient care.

Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient served. He/she must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development as it relates to the different life cycles. Specific age groups that are served by this position are circled.

Neonate Infant Pediatric Adolescent Adult Adult/Geriatric

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1.Bachelor's or graduate degree in physical therapy from an accredited university-based physical therapy program.
2.Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners license.
3.At least 2 years' clinical experience required.
4.Demonstrates ability and willingness to mentor/train staff or supervise clinical interns/students.
5.Provides clinical leadership and demonstrates expertise for a particular patient type/group or enhances an existing clinical program for that particular patient type/group.
