Sterile Processing Tech III - Days

BASIC FUNCTION: Position responsible for providing sterilized surgical instruments, supplies and equipment to the operating room as well as other areas of the hospital. Acts as the lead/charge person for the shift. Assists in the supervision and training of other personnel utilizing principles of Standard Precautions and utilizing principles of Event Related Sterility.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1.High School diploma or equivalent.
2.Ability to follow oral and written instructions and perform basic mathematical calculations.
3.Three years hospital experience involving sterilization of instruments, equipment and supplies and Certification as a Registered Central Service Technician. Demonstrated ability to perform leadership roles.
4.Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and to perform duties requiring stooping, pushing, and pulling.
